Different Universe Different Adventure Prologue: History of Mobius

Author Note: This is that story I've been talking about, and I've finally made it rear its short and ugly head. It’s not required to read this chapter, but highly advised if you want to understand some of the concepts that I’ve messed around with.

2020: Sonic the Hedgehog fights against the tyranny of Ivo Robotnik, an insane human scientist that rules most of the world with a literal iron fist. Both sides were equally matched, however. Sonic and the Freedom Fighters were hidden in a village in the Great Forest, doing what they could to overthrow Robotnik.

2025: It took five years, but on January 21st, they succeeded. In the middle of a snow storm that was rougher then it should be, Tails, Sonic’s best friend ignored the order to retreat due to hazardous weather, and fought his way to the command center. He took Robotnik by complete surprise, and swiftly killed him, but Snively, Robotnik’s nephew, got away.

Sonic and Tails both split the credit for Robotnik’s downfall right down the middle, and Tails, being the modest kit he is, gave all the credit he was given to the people of Knothole and, surprisingly, Robotnik. Tails said if he hadn’t found out Robotnik had killed his parents, instead of turning them into robots, then he would never have ignored the order for retreat.

2033: Mobius was finally restored to pride, but with a few new additions, three to be exact. They didn’t start out as cities. Haven city started out with a statue of Tails in some plain so some animals would know that he was a hero, and then a town was built to house visitors to the statue, and soon enough, a city was raised. The other two additions, Rosedale and Central city, were born the same way. Rosedale has a statue of Sonic in the middle of the town, and Central city has a statue of all the Knothole Freedom Fighters lined up shoulder to shoulder, the Mobian flag raised proudly above them.

The flag was a solid green color with a oak tree leaf in the middle, colored a light shade of blue.

2037: Sonic is now twenty four as Tails is eighteen. Sonic lives in Rosedal, having become a counselor, and Tails lived in Haven city, also as a counselor.

Counselors were representatives of the city they lived in, like a mayor. They had sway over the laws of the city they represented, and obeyed only one person. That would be the queen of Mobius, Sally Alicia Acorn.

As they say, with every ending, there is a new beginning, and with every closed door, another one opens. A new door has opened, and a new journey awaits beyond it for a blue hedgehog with dark blue eyes.
